Just Jazz Foundation is a Non Profit 501c3, EIN #84-4817227. Your support helps us
present live jazz music and create performance opportunities for both seasoned and aspiring young jazz artists and musicians. Our mission is to preserve, celebrate and pass along the cultural heritage of jazz and blues — America’s original art forms — through community education, live performance, and intergenerational collaboration. We seek support to expand our community-based jazz and blues education programs, which preserve the musical languages created by Black American artists and ensure that young people today experience their creative power firsthand. With your partnership, we can sustain this living heritage, nurture new voices, and keep these stories and sounds alive for generations to come all while pushing back on forces that seem to not share our passion for the culture, the arts or the music.

This example of giving back and passing it forward was on full display recently at the Blue Note Jazz Club in Hollywood, as several of our Just Jazz Foundation, student jam, Sunday brunch, Just Jazz concert series, scholarship recipients and Future Is Now Jazz Festival artists and musicians had the opportunity to meet and greet legendary 87 year old jazz saxophonist Charles Lloyd, pianist Gerald Clayton and several local jazz music legends.

The Just Jazz Foundation stands as a vibrant force in the world of jazz, dedicated to fostering community, supporting artists, and enriching the cultural landscape. Under the guidance of Executive Director Frederick Smith Jr, Co-Founder and KCRW host LeRoy "The Jazzcat" Downs, Director Of Student Engagement Rebecca Hogan, and Just Jazz Magazine Staff Photographer Jim Brock, the Just Jazz Foundation has created a nurturing space and platform that transcends the boundaries of age and experience, bringing together jazz enthusiasts, seasoned professionals, and aspiring talents alike. Join us as we stand up for the past, the present and the future of this Black American musical art form called jazz. Thank you for your continued support!
